When selecting an activity for kids who struggle with confidence, it’s important to ensure that the environment is creative and nurturing, helping them to feel supported as they step out of their comfort zone to try something new. Being in a ‘bubble of positivity’ will evoke feelings of trust and a sense of achievement as they take small steps towards independence. In addition to this, kids who are encouraged to celebrate individuality in others sends a message to the ‘tribe’ that it’s ok to be different. The key to confidence is helping kids to identify their own set of strengths, and celebrating them!
