Grade one students at Gladstone Central State School stuffed, dressed, named and wrote a special message to create Trauma Bears. Trauma bears are made for children who are going through a traumatic experience and carry a special message of love and support.
Once made, the bears are donated to emergency service workers who then give them to children going through a trauma. The emergency workers say that the children’s faces light up when they receive their bear – especially when they read the special messages!
