A new initiative in the Gladstone region is set to drive innovation and support the growing renewable energy sector. The Enhancing Renewable Innovation in Regional Queensland program, led by CQUniversity Australia, will empower local students and entrepreneurs by fostering a thriving ecosystem that promotes workforce development, career pathways, and technological innovation within the renewable energy space.
The program, supported by Advance Queensland as part of the Regional Enablers Program, aims to increase opportunities for Innovation Driven Enterprises (IDEs) to flourish across Queensland’s regional areas. CQUniversity was awarded nearly $300,000 in funding, being one of 15 regional innovation organisations chosen in Round 1 of the program.
