Constable Sam Pyke and Recruit Kathy La Fauce came to the aid of the missing maiden. The above statue was found by residents in the front yard of their New Auckland address between 8:30pm on April 6 and 6:30am.
Due to the weight of the maiden, police believe she had not wandered too far from her home. They were right.
We are happy to report that the lost statue lady of the night was found, identified and returned home, a nice ending!
