06 Aug LAST LITTER PROGRAM
Gladstone Animal Rescue group has recently launched its Last Litter Program. The Last Litter program is part of the group’s commitment to preventing unwanted litters.
At present, the program is only available to dogs, but it’s hoped that in the near future the program will be extended to include cats as well.
So how will the Last Litter Program work? Firstly, you will need to fill out a form to surrender your entire litter to the Gladstone Animal Rescue Group. When your puppies are around six weeks old, the group will take all the puppies into their care. The puppies will be de-sexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and checked by a qualified vet before they find their forever homes. Last Litter program co-ordinators will also schedule an appointment time suitable to you, for you to take your dog to the vet for de-sexing at no cost to you.
Pet owners who currently have a pregnant dog or have puppies they want to find good homes for are encouraged to call Gladstone Animal Rescue Group on 0497 292 318.
