About the Author
Once you choose HOPE anything is possible…
Aussie Alicia Hope lives in Central Queensland with her author husband Frank H Jordan and their feathered larrikin, cockatiel Kewbie Kewberton.
Horse riding, bass playing, and bird watching Alicia lives on coastal acreage dotted with Australia’s famous gum trees, and frequented by the bird and animal life she adores.
Her feel-good stories, mostly set in Australia, showcase her love of the land and the natural world.
This is certainly true of her novel The Long Road to Loving Jackson.
While attending a country show, Alicia enjoyed watching a display of trick riding by an accomplished young woman, and so Abbey Miller was born….
Then, on a drive through sweeping cattle country, Alicia spied a sprawling Queenslander homestead perched on a rise, with the Great Dividing Range as its backdrop.
She could feel the history in the gracious old homestead, and imagined the families living and working on the property.
And so it became the inspiration for Granger Farm in the story.
Writing this book gave Alicia a chance to re-live the farming life, and she hopes readers also enjoy this very country, very Aussie story.
