Local Graduate Wins Scholarship

Samantha Vardy, a recent graduate of Tannum Sands State High School, has recently started studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at QUT.

The Australian Resources Industry Skills and Education (ARISE) funds two scholarships a year, both $10,000 each. This year, the winners are a Kelvin Grove Student, and Samantha Vardy, Tannum Sands State High School’s recent graduate. Samantha only recently developed an interest in engineering, and this scholarship will have a huge influence on her studies this year.
