How long have you been volunteering there for?
My late husband & my family moved to Boyne/ Tannum 38yrs ago. & we volunteered where we could [Tannum Sands Lifesavers] I retired from Primary teaching 14 years ago & joined Boyne Island Lions shortly after that.
Why did you start volunteering?
For the betterment of the community, to meet people. To know I’m putting back into a community which has been so good to my family & to me

What would you say to encourage others to volunteer?
Volunteering is so worthwhile. It gives such a positive experience to know with a little time/effort somebody has been given some help. Meeting/working with people with similar goals is very pleasant.
