Tannum Sands is a lovely place to be on Mother’s Day morning with the community coming together to take part once again for the Mother’s Day Classic – Sunday 8th May.
Last year 9,352 families participated together in the Mother’s Day Classic across Australia and it’s set to be a hit again. Inviting you to walk, run, push a pram or scooter your way around the course.
The 8km starting point is Millenium Esplanade, follow the bike track through Canoe Point, across the bridge and back.
The 4km starting point is Millenium Esplanade. Participants will do the round circuit, through Canoe Point and return to Millenium Esplanade, following the bike track.
Remember to fill in a tribute card to wear on the day in memory of a loved one or with words of encouragement to someone currently undergoing treatment. There will be prizes for best dressed individual and Best dressed team

As usual Gladstone has some stand out businesses who have jumped at the opportunity to support the event. Say Espresso Bar have sponsored the BBQ and have volunteered to cook with all of the proceeds going to the charity. Ownsys Retro Bar will be there selling coffee, FantasyFace fairies doing face painting and Dana Crisan doing Jamberry nail manicures. Kinnect physio have volunteered a physio service. These will all be gold coin donations back to charity.
