This weekend Zonta Club of Gladstone and Volunteers will gather to make a difference in the Birthing Kit Assembly Workshop. 1,400 kits will be made on the day and each kit has the potential to save two lives.
Worldwide, an estimated 385,000 women die annually in childbirth, most of them in developing countries, and many from infections acquired during childbirth.
