08 May Open Day Showcases Sunrise Rotary

The push for a one-stop shop shared “Rotary Central” precinct, which all local clubs could use, was on the agenda at an information morning held by Gladstone Sunrise Rotary on Sunday, April 29.
Showcasing one of their major projects, the Bikes To Wheelchairs campaign, now headquartered at the former Reef City Ford Showroom, Sunrise hosted about seventy community members and Rotarians from other local Group 7 Clubs who also shared some of their projects, including Rotary Shelterbox, Days for Girls and Project We Care.
Savour the Flavour generously donated the all-important coffee and catering, as members from all over the region heard about the B2W project which sees throwaway bikes converted to wheelchairs and shipped to regions in need.
