Powerlink Queensland is inviting local businesses to take part in a critical project aimed at reinforcing the electricity transmission network in the Gladstone region.
The Gladstone Project will strengthen and expand the region’s power infrastructure to ensure long-term energy security as industries shift towards renewable energy and the Gladstone Power Station moves towards eventual retirement. Given Gladstone’s significant role in Queensland’s economy—accounting for around 20% of the state’s electricity demand—this upgrade is essential to maintaining a stable and reliable power supply.
