The Federal Government’s commitment of $7.2 billion to the Bruce Highway has been warmly welcomed by the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ), marking a return to fairer funding and a renewed focus on road safety.
The funding will ensure the Bruce Highway is upgraded to meet a minimum three-star safety rating, aligning it with the standards of major highways in southern states.
