The Rotary Club of Gladstone is celebrating the return of their monthly Charity Market at the Tondoon Botanic Gardens. Held on the third Sunday of the month between 7 AM – 12 AM the next market falls on the 16th of August.
The monthly charity markets have been supporting the local community since 1995 with the goal to ensure the markets are here for the long term.
The markets were originally held at Kmart and have operated in the Gladstone community since 1995. In 2019 the markets changed location to the Tondoon Botanic Gardens, as the Kmart carpark was undergoing renovations. The location proved to be a huge success with both stallholders and visitors alike, so much so, the club made a decision to stay at the new location!
In June, the Gladstone community enjoyed the first market in town since the emergence of COVID-19. It was a great success with many stalls and hundreds of customers joining Rotary Gladstone Midday at the beautiful gardens.
The next market will be held at the gardens on the 16th of August. Available for the community’s enjoyment will be entertainment, food stalls, coffee, fruit, vegetables as well as a huge selection of craft and collector stalls, many new to the area and new to the charity market.
All the proceeds Rotary collects from stallholders is funnelled into local projects to help the Gladstone community. If you would like to book a stall please email community@gladstonemidday.org The link to the application form is www.rotarygladstonemidday.org/get-involved/charity-markets/
As happened at the last market, special rules will be in place to keep everyone COVID safe. Stallholders and customers are asked to follow physical distancing protocols set down by the state government. Members of Rotary will be on hand to help people to stay COVID safe.
