Earlier this month over 60 Tannum State High School students volunteered their time to raise money at the Boyne McDonald’s McHappy Day. The Instrumental Music students provided over an hour of entertainment and members of the school’s STARS program painted hair, sold programs, and collected money.
TSSHS would like to say a huge thank you to the staff and parents who assisted with transporting the carloads of instruments to and from the venue. All in all, the discomfort of the heat of the day proved more than worthwhile with the event raising over $7,000, which is almost 2 times the amount raised last year. On behalf of all those families who have and will face tough times when Ronald McDonald House eases a little bit of the burden, thank you to everyone who attended, performed, volunteered or simply bought a burger.
