Successful Celebration for 2016 Foster and Kinship Carer Week

With currently more than 4700 carer families in Queensland who find room in their hearts and homes for more than 7400 children and young people in care, last week offered as an opportunity to highlight the selfless work by foster and kinship carers, thank them for their efforts and raise the profile of foster and kinship caring in the community.

Caption – With the support of many community businesses, Leanne Montgomery, Anglicare CQ Foster & Kinship Intensive Care Coordinator, along with her staff take a day out at the Gladstone Bowls Club to recognise and acknowledge the fantastic work undertaken everyday by our amazing Foster & Kinship Carers in the Gladstone region.
