Support Veterans Health

On Wednesday the 26^th of October the Boyne Tannum Men’s Shed and RSL Sub Branch are hosting an information session and BBQ in support of Veterans Health Week. Commencing at 10am, the session will include presentations by William Taylor (a local MHPE) and by a Department of Veteran Affairs representative. The aim is to raise awareness and understanding on the risk of suicide with our veterans.

The event is one of many around the nation for Veterans Health Week. Veterans’ Health Week this year will be held from the 22^nd to the 30^th of October with the theme ‘Social Connection’. The week is an opportunity for veterans, war widows, widowers, current and ex-Australian Defence Force members and their families to participate, connect and influence the health and wellbeing of themselves and their friends.
