When I call Tommy Emmanuel from the Gladstone News office at 8am, he answers at 5pm the day before from a friend’s home in Nashville, Tennessee. We both sip cups of coffee, which we cheers from over 14,000 kilometres away.
The first thing Tommy asks me is the correct way to pronounce my name, which is not necessarily what I imagined being asked when I spoke to one of the world’s best acoustic guitarists of all time.
