23 Aug Under The Trees Festival Announcement 2023
Established in 2017, the Under The Trees Music & Arts Festival (UTT) is held annually to coincide with the start of the September school holidays.
The festival is literally staged under the trees at Jacaranda Drive, Boyne Island and is presented by the Boyne Tannum Arts Business & Community Association and a not-for-profit association.
The purpose of the festival is to inspire, connect and entertain audiences of all ages by celebrating music, art and community and to be one of regional Queensland’s leading alternative live music festivals, showcasing grassroots beats, arts and culture. This year sees the festival grow with Friday night (15 September) turning into a fully fledged festival with 19-Twenty on the Nest stage, following on from previous years where Friday night was much more low-key.
Sharon Hare, who is the projects organiser for the event is super stoked to share her thoughts on this year’s festival.
“I’m hoping to see the usual favourites make an appearance once again this year with the exquisite art installations, the Meraki Circus and everyone enjoying what the festival has to offer!”
“I can’t wait for Friday night headlined by 19 – Twenty along with a fire show by Meraki Fire, and we also have The Urban Chiefs, Hussy Hicks, CC the Cat and of course festival favourite, The Lyrical who will be performing on the Shrubbery stage on Saturday evening.” said Sharon.
Tickets are on sale now, for weekend passes only which are $120pp.
