Well reviewed local tourist park wins award

Mount Larcom Tourist Park is celebrating following the recent announcement they’ve won the Traveller Review Awards 2022 by Booking.com.

For new owners Geoff and Teena Severn, who took over ownership of the park in January, the 9.2 rating was a much-welcome surprise.

“The achievement is a result of consistently great reviews from our guests,” they said.

“So we have to thank everyone who has stayed with us and left feedback.

“We would also like to thank the park’s previous owners, Del and Kev Smaldon, for all their hard work in making the park what it is today.

“They’ve left a wonderful foundation for us to build on, a place where travellers can rest and relax on their way to their next adventure.”

After living the nomadic life for the past several years, travelling around Australia in the caravan, Geoff, Teena and their four children decided it was time to “stop in one place for awhile and put down some roots”.

“Our family is very much looking forward to being a part of the local community,” they said.

“The good news is, all those years travelling have meant we know what we like when we stay somewhere, and we hope to use this knowledge and experience to give our guests a quality place to stay.”

The Mount Larcom Tourist Park offers pet-friendly powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites, as well as motel style ensuite cabins.

The park is situated on six acres, with stunning mountain and countryside views.
