Boyne Smelters Limited (BSL) extends a warm welcome to the 2024 cohort of Business, Industry, and Tourism Skills Centre (BITS) students as they embark on their educational journey within our operations. This partnership, which has flourished over a span of more than 16 years, continues to be a cornerstone of our commitment to nurturing future talent.
Thirty-eight students have recently undergone site safety inductions in preparation for their enrolment in certificate programs focusing on Workplace Skills, Business, Tourism, and active volunteering. These programs, conducted onsite at BSL, afford students the unique opportunity to engage with industry mentors, participate in various activities, and undertake business enterprise tasks. Such immersive experiences play a pivotal role in facilitating the transition of youth into meaningful careers or further educational pursuits by offering authentic learning opportunities.
