‘Golding Showcase: Port Curtis Callide Valley Youth Art Exhibition’ is in its final days of display at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum, closing 6 August 2016. Running annually for 22 years, the highly popular exhibition features works in all mediums by local visual art students, aged 15 to 18 years.
This year’s ‘Showcase’ is larger than ever with collaborations from eight local high schools including Biloela State High, Chanel College, Faith Baptist Christian School, Gladstone State High, St Stephens Lutheran College, Tannum Sands State High, Toolooa State High and Trinity College. Eighty-eight innovative artists submitted more than 110 vibrant artworks, featuring paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, assemblages, photography and moving image.
