From Setbacks to Success: Daniel’s Incredible Journey to Employment Will Leave You Inspired!

Daniel’s story is a testament to the resilience and determination that can overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles in the pursuit of employment. As a participant in the Disability Employment Services (DES) program, Daniel faced the challenge of living with a visual impairment. However, with the support of APM in Gladstone, he discovered a pathway to success that highlighted the transformative power of adaptability and opportunity.

Initially, Daniel’s aspirations for a career in traffic management were dashed due to his vision impairment, which made him ineligible for the necessary certification. ”Finding suitable options for employment and confidence building to be able to take on a role he did not think he would be able to perform were some of the challenges Daniel faced.” Undeterred, he worked closely with his APM employment consultant to explore alternative avenues towards achieving his goals. “Daniel is wanting to build a career with his current employer and hoping to find a way he can continue to work for them in the future.”
